A Communicative Action and Social Construction of Reality. A Socio-Semiotical Approach

SANDU, Antonio (2015). A Communicative Action and Social Construction of Reality. A Socio-Semiotical Approach. Prezentată la Central & Eastern European LUMEN Conference: LUMEN NASHS 2015: Chisinau, Republic of Moldova: 11-13 September 2015.

Starting from Derrida’s ideas, we observed the existence in fact of a double deconstructing process. The first is done at the level of metastories as legitimate structures of social realities, and the second one – at the level of social practice, which accompanies social order instituted by the metastories (Sandu & Caras, 2013). We consider deconstruction as a first step in a complex process of deconstruction-reconstruction, both in the metastories plan, and in that of social practices. In the plan of metastories – ideas around which they are constructed suffers an interpretative drift. They don’t entirely lose their legitimating value, but only suffer a contextualization and the specific level of the interpretative community. In the plan of social practices – the deconstructive process aims at the permanent normalization of power relationships.
